Hey all!
Reviewer Dude here! Finally! Review #1. Sooo excited for
this one! What I'm reviewing for you today is the Cycle Torch Night Owl USB
Rechargeable Bike Light. This bike light has a re adjustable strap for any size
of bike handle, and is extremely bright! Even on the lowest setting (if you
want to keep in less harsh or save on the battery supply) it still has a fantastic
brightness that can make biking at night so much easier. The light flashes as well, as does the back
light that comes in the box. This light can last for an extremely long time,
even on the highest setting (believe me, I kept it on for a while last evening,
and I lost track ;) )The website states the four working modes until it needs a
recharge, but I’ll just post all the info right here: High 200 lumens -2 Hours
Medium 100 lumens -4 Hours Low 20 lumens -20 Hours Flash-daylight mode -200
Lumens Pulse 30+ Hours. Fantastic if you are planning on going on those
amazing long cool night rides and of the sort.
The strap is great for bike handles all shapes and sizes! As
it is made out of a rubbery material and has multiple loops for any size of
handle, this strap is very slip resistant and works like a charm to keep the actual
light in place. Also, the strap attached to the back red light slips cleanly
through the back loop in under the seat.
The recharge cord is fantastic. It’s wonderful how quickly
the recharge is (again, the website says
that Smart Charging is four hours
charging time, and that there is an automatic over charge & discharge
cut-off system . I charged it overnight, so I don’t know the exact timing of it
all, but I can confirm the cut off.) As long as you don’t continuously overuse
the cord, it won’t zap the strength of the rechargeable battery. I recommend
only use it when it’s really running out, but that’s just because of it being a
rechargeable product in general, not this brand in particular. Short battery
span is almost as bad as none.
Just to recap, if you invest in this light, you’ll get your money’s
worth. Great essential for any nighttime biker!

*edit* P.S, I almost forgot to add how to check the light
lifespan! The manual shows how to work it, but I’ll just put it in my post;
When the light is
turned off, press the button for 3
seconds and release. The light will flash from 1 to 10 times
indicating the battery level
remaining (10 flashes indicate - 100% charge, 9 flashes -
90%, 8 flashes – 80% …).
